How much does a bail bond cost in Florida?
All bail bonds in Florida are a 10% premium fee of whatever the bond is or a minimum of $100 per charge. This is fee is set by the state of Florida and cannot be negotiated in any way; however payment plans are available to all clients that qualify.
Is collateral always necessary for a bail bond?
No, in most cases collateral is not necessary. Most bail bonds can be completed with the premium fee and minimal paperwork for the client.
What happens after the bail bond has been posted?
After the bond has been posted the release process will begin. The release process is different for each county and can range from 2 to 8 hours depending on the volume of inmates at said jail. Neither our company nor any other has control over the time it takes for the release of an inmate.
What does the defendant need to do after being released?
After being release for jail the defendant must contact our company within 24 hours to complete a defendant application. If a defendant is not given a court date upon release he or she must contact the clerk of courts in order to obtain this information. It is not the responsibility of the bonding company or the county jail to supply the defendant with court information.
